Dominic Scaffidi, Founder of HR Possibilities Inc.

Dominic Scaffidi is President and founder of HR Possibilities Inc. He has coached leaders and executives in a variety of organizations as they take on new roles, greater responsibility, key projects, challenging issues and sometimes career change.

As a lifelong learner, Dominic is an avid reader of the latest research and practices in coaching, leadership and organization development. His commitment to continual development includes having his own coach and regularly immersing himself in personal growth workshops in order to stretch himself and take on new challenges in the same way his clients do.

With over 25 years of business experience as an HR executive, sales manager, entrepreneur, and consultant; Dominic has worked with leading edge global organizations across a variety of industries during a range of business cycles, from rapid growth to significant downturns.

Industries Dominic has worked in include Consumer Packaged Goods, Retail, Software, Telecomm, Pharma, Insurance, Financial Services, Automotive, Manufacturing, Commercial Banking, Aerospace, Professional Services and non-profit.

Multiple PRISM award winner

The PRISM Award honours organizations and coaches that achieve a standard of excellence in implementing coaching programs for culture change, leadership development, productivity and performance improvement. Dominic is a multiple PRISM award winner having designed and implemented successful coaching programs in several organizations including Nelson EducationSleeman Breweries, and Lindt & Sprungli.

Education and Certification

Dominic is a graduate of the University of Toronto where he completed his Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Economics. He also completed graduate- level certifications at the Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto) and at Royal Roads University.  He is a Certified Executive Coach and holds the Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Dominic was also a Certified Human Resources Professional for 20 years.

Personal contributions

In addition to his professional pursuits, Dominic is a past officer and director of The Hunger Project Canada, a non-profit organization committed to ending hunger globally. He leveraged his love of running to raise thousands of dollars for The Hunger Project while completing his first marathon. Dominic lives just outside Toronto where he enjoys creating and living a life that he loves with his wife and two children.
